Testimonials

There are dense evergreen corridors and open hillsides, sweet ponds and lazy doglegs. Despite these differences this course has a highly enjoyable rhythm - one where a driver is more of a hindrance that a help. Water plays a big part in the middle of the round with a number of holes clinging tightly to the ponds.

Wonderful twists to a course with great variety. A classic parkland. Now 18 holes since 2015.

Rathfarnham, as the 10th oldest club in the Dublin metropolitan district and with wonderful view of the Dublin mountains, has mixed progress with tradition to become a hidden gem that deserves to be enjoyed by its members and visitors.

Mixing mature trees, lakes and gentle slopes to great effect, this course provides a challenging but fair test to all standards of golfers. The Owendoher river and 4 lakes provide beautiful obstacles to a good score with mature trees lining every fairway to provide strong definition on each hole.

Full USGA spec tees and greens and generously drained fairways and roughs provide immaculate playing surfaces all year round and the construction of 3 new holes and redesign of 3 existing holes shows Rathfarnham Golf Club’s continuous commitment to excellence.

If you haven't played it...and don't live near Dublin...then you probably haven't given Rathfarnham Golf Club a second thought. Maybe you should. A sweet parkland with a lengthy and different route to 18 holes.
